While ‘Evil Does Not Exist’ falls short of its career-defining predecessor, it nonetheless cements its director as a truly independent artist, one who isn’t afraid to chase their wild ideas into whatever deep, dark forest they lead them to.
Now Showing: Unfrosted (2024, dir. Jerry Seinfeld)
Like the packaged pastry at its center this movie is so stale and junky you’ll feel like you need a salad and a workout just to feel like a human being again. Except at least Pop-Tarts are delicious; Unfrosted is about as pleasant as a haggis eating contest.
